What to Expect Before and During Your Root Cause Therapy Sessions

Feeling a Mix of Emotions?
It’s completely normal to feel excited, nervous, or even anxious before your first session. Let’s ease your mind by giving you a clearer idea of what to expect, so you can feel comfortable and ready to begin this transformative journey.

Before Your First Session

After booking, you’ll receive a Root Cause Therapy (RCT) Intake Form to complete prior to your session. This form helps me understand your goals and the areas you’d like to work on.

When we meet—whether in person or online—we’ll start with an uplifting and personal conversation about the challenges you’re facing and the changes you want to create. We’ll review your intake form together and discuss any blocks, limiting beliefs, or emotions you’d like to release.

During this first session, we’ll also use muscle testing to identify the subconscious beliefs that may be holding you back. You’ll stand as I guide you through the process, which is easy and surprisingly insightful. From here, we’ll select three limiting beliefs to work on in future sessions and ensure your goals are aligned.

Second and Subsequent Sessions

At the start of each session, we’ll confirm the three beliefs identified previously and adjust if needed. Then, you’ll settle into a comfortable position—whether lying down or seated—and I’ll guide you into a meditative state to help quiet your mind and connect with your body.

During the therapy process, we’ll revisit key moments in your timeline to uncover how past events have shaped your subconscious mind. While you remain fully conscious, we’ll gently release trapped emotions or beliefs tied to these experiences. You’ll also have the opportunity to gain valuable insights and learnings from these events.

You might wonder if this involves re-living trauma, but it’s no more stressful than the daily triggers you already experience. The difference is that this time, we’ll work to heal it. Once a core belief is resolved, many connected beliefs often fall away, meaning significant progress can be made in a single session.

Tracking Your Progress

To monitor your progress, we’ll use a Testing Sheet throughout your sessions. This sheet helps track changes and provides tangible data on your growth, ensuring each session builds on the last. Using the sway test method, we’ll also confirm whether your mind and body believe specific statements or beliefs to be true.

Online Sessions

If you’re joining online, find a safe, comfortable spot where you can focus without distractions. For the first session, ensure your camera is set up so I can see your whole body during muscle testing.

A Safe and Supportive Space

As your therapist, I’m here to guide you safely and comfortably throughout this journey. Your long-term healing is my greatest priority, and I’ll support you every step of the way. If you have questions or would like to chat before booking, feel free to schedule a free 15-minute consultation or book directly when you’re ready.
